Summary:
As the first point of contact for visitors and tenants at WINGS, the Receptionist must have good communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. WINGS Receptionists respond to inquiries from the public and tenants in an empathetic and trauma informed manner.
Job Duties:
· Answer telephone calls and email inquires and direct to the appropriate department
· Document information from requests for support calls
· Data tracking and entry
· Respond to tenant requests and refer to the appropriate personnel
· Monitor main entrance and document visitor and client traffic within the building

Qualifications and Experience:
· A minimum grade 12 education

Support Worker
Full-Time Support Worker
WINGS – Women In Need Growing Stronger, is currently recruiting for a full-time (37.5 hours/ week), Support Worker in South-East Edmonton. The Support Worker will use knowledge and skills acquired in the broad areas of family violence and crisis intervention in a non-judgmental, empathetic, and trauma-informed manner.
Summary:
Provide quality support to women and children fleeing abuse; helping them heal from past trauma and create a life free from violence by evaluating their needs, establishing goals, and implementing strategies to overcome challenges. Support Workers empower families by conducting risk and safety assessments, creating plans, guiding them through legal processes, addressing mental and physical health, and facilitating referrals to community partners for extra support.
Job Duties:

Facility Manager
Facility Manager
WINGS – Women In Need Growing Stronger, is currently recruiting for a full-time (37.5 hours/ week), Facility Manager in South-East Edmonton. WINGS is a non-profit agency that provides second-stage shelter, affordable housing and wrap around support services for women and children who have experienced family violence.
Summary:
The Facility Manger’s primary focus is the Property Management of both WINGS’ Second-Stage Shelter (20 units) and the Home Next Door affordable housing facility (29 units). Building cleanliness is a top priority. The successful candidate will work well in a fast-paced, positive, and collaborative environment.
Job Duties:
Respond to tenant inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Handle lease agreements, renewals, and terminations.
Coordinate with tenants for property inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
Create and manage property budgets, including operating expenses and capital improvements.
Schedule and oversee routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and renovations.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
Identify and address potential risks to property safety, security, and compliance.
Implement emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios.
Stay informed about local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations related to property management.
Handle evictions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The Transition Worker is responsible for the provision of outreach support services when the family leaves WINGS 2nd Stage Program to live independently in the community or is residing in WINGS 3rd Stage Program. Early Childhood Educator - Relief
Early Childhood Educator - Relief
WINGS – Women In Need Growing Stronger, is currently recruiting for a relief position, Early Childhood Educator in South-East Edmonton in the Rocky Forest Daycare. If you are looking to make a difference in a child's life and make a family feel supported we are the program for you. We are a small child-focused daycare and out-of-school care supporting children whose mother has fled domestic violence.
Summary:
Salary does not include wage top-up. Relief position starting immediately. If you have Level 2 or 3 and are looking for a relief position, no guaranteed hours, 3 hour minimum shift when called in. Small ratio so you can focus on the child’s needs, and your role as an Educator. Trauma-informed care supports the needs of families fleeing from domestic violence.
We incorporate the FLIGHT framework curriculum and encourage a child's imagination to be a mighty citizen. Connected with ARQUE and have a Pedagogical Partner Consultant.
The daycare is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm in southeast Edmonton and are a non-profit licensed for 33 children in the daycare and 16 in our out-of-school: low ratios and high Educator support. Should be flexible to work with toddler to kindergarten age. Monday to Friday, 3-hour minimum per day.

We incorporate the FLIGHT framework curriculum and encourage a child's imagination to be a mighty citizen.
The daycare is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm in southeast Edmonton and is a non-profit licenced for 33 children in the daycare and 16 in our out-of-school: low ratios and high Edudator support. Should be flexible to work with toddlers to kindergarten age. Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift with a 1-hour break, 30 minutes paid. One day off per month as a mental health day.

The overall function and purpose of this position will be to lead the fund development team to raise the profile of WINGS, to secure financial and volunteer support for the programs and facility, and develop long-term, impactful relationships with WINGS major and corporate donors.
Part-Time/On-Call Facility Reception Worker
Shift Work Details:
