Facility Manager
WINGS – Women In Need Growing Stronger, is currently recruiting for a full-time (37.5 hours/ week), Facility Manager in South-East Edmonton. WINGS is a non-profit agency that provides second-stage shelter, affordable housing and wrap around support services for women and children who have experienced family violence.
Summary:
The Facility Manger’s primary focus is the Property Management of both WINGS’ Second-Stage Shelter (20 units) and the Home Next Door affordable housing facility (29 units). Building cleanliness is a top priority. The successful candidate will work well in a fast-paced, positive, and collaborative environment.
Job Duties:
Respond to tenant inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Handle lease agreements, renewals, and terminations.
Coordinate with tenants for property inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
Create and manage property budgets, including operating expenses and capital improvements.
Schedule and oversee routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and renovations.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
Identify and address potential risks to property safety, security, and compliance.
Implement emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios.
Stay informed about local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations related to property management.
Handle evictions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records, including leases, contracts, and correspondence.
Coordinate property inspections, assessments, and appraisals as needed.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, processing invoices, and managing correspondence.
Supervising a small team of security/ reception staff.
Working with vulnerable women and children.
Qualifications and Experience:
Property management knowledge and experience
Minimum grade 12 education
Valid First Aid, current Criminal Record Check and Intervention Check required.
Must be able to receive direction and be self-directed, decisive, and flexible.
Strong written and verbal language skills
Computer use: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
Supervisory Skills
Valid Driver’s License
Experience working with diverse and multi-cultural communities.
Remuneration:
WINGS offers holiday pay and a generous benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Hours of Work:
37.5 hours per week.
