Social Media & Market Booth Coordinator - Second Flight Children's Boutique
About Us:
The Second Flight Children's Boutique is a social enterprise supporting WINGS (Women In Need Growing Stronger). The carefully curated selection of new and pre-loved children’s apparel, toys, and accessories allows customers to choose an environmentally and socially conscious retail and resale option. WINGS provides second stage shelter to families escaping domestic violence, with 100% of proceeds from our online store directly benefiting these families.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and creative volunteer to promote our online store and manage our presence at 3-4 weekend market booths each year. This role is vital to raising awareness and generating revenue for our cause.
Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Create engaging content for our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to promote the boutique and its mission.
-Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and engagement.
- Interact with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster a community around our brand.
- Building relationships with social influencers to cross promote
Market Booth Coordination:
- Organize and manage logistics for 3-4 weekend market booths throughout the year.
- Set up and take down booths, ensuring a professional and inviting display of our products.
- Engage with customers at market events, sharing the mission of WINGS and the impact of their purchases.
Promotional Activities:
- Collaborate with the WINGS team to create promotional materials for both online and market events.
- Track sales and donations generated from market events and report back to the team.
Inventory Control:
Assist in sorting and organizing incoming donations and inventory.
Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are maintained.
Use the Squarespace app to upload new products to the website weekly, ensuring accurate descriptions and pricing.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in social media marketing or content creation.
- Passion for social causes, particularly in supporting families affected by domestic violence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for weekend events and some flexibility in scheduling.

Child Care Volunteer
Ready, Set, PLAY! 🎉
Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? WINGS is on the lookout for dedicated, energetic, and enthusiastic volunteers to join our Out of School Care Program at Rocky Forest Daycare!
✨ What You'll Be Doing:
You'll assist our amazing childcare team, engaging with school-aged kids (5-11 years old) in fun activities, games, and creative play both indoors and outdoors. If you love being active and enjoy the energy of kids, this is the perfect opportunity for you!🕒 Your Commitment:
Volunteer once a week from 3pm to 5pm or full days on occasional PD Days.
A commitment of at least 6 consecutive months is required.
💪 What We’re Looking For:
A love for working with children and a patient, compassionate attitude.
An active and playful spirit—be ready to walk, run, and have fun!
Must be 18+ with availability to meet the time commitments.
Punctuality is a must—kids are counting on you!

A brief interview—we'd love to get to know you better!
Level I, II, or III Childcare Certification is a great asset, as well as prior experience with children.

Maintenance Support Volunteer
Lend a Hand, Make a Home 🛠️ Become a Maintenance Support Volunteer!
Do you enjoy working with your hands and want to make a meaningful impact? WINGS Shelter is searching for a committed, hands-on volunteer to assist with light building repairs and maintenance. Your skills can directly help families in need as they move into a safe and welcoming space. 💙
✨ What You'll Do:
Prepare apartments for new families by moving furniture in and out of suites (must be able to lift 50 lbs).
Stock and decorate apartments with housewares, bedding, and create welcoming packages for families.
Assemble furniture for apartments and common spaces to create a warm, homey environment.
Assist with various odd jobs and maintenance tasks throughout the year.
🕒 Flexible Schedule:
6 hours per week (weekday availability preferred).
Flexible hours that may vary week to week based on needs.
💪 What We’re Looking For:
A positive attitude, a willingness to jump in, and the ability to lift and move furniture.
Someone who enjoys organizing, decorating, and making spaces feel inviting.
Dedication to volunteering with a minimum commitment of 6 months.

Do you have an expertise and/or education in a skill-based area that you would love to teach others? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to lead a 60-90 minute skill-based learning session for the incredible women at WINGS. Your knowledge can make a meaningful difference!
We’re open to your creativity! Here are just a few ideas of sessions that our clients would love:
