Build a Backpack, Build a Future
Not all children have the tools they need to succeed at school.
You can help.
This fall, WINGS will have over 60 school-aged children and teens needing backpacks and school supplies. We are asking for support from our community to help us ensure that every child at WINGS has the tools they need to start the school year.
There are 2 ways you can support:
1) Build a Backpack and Donate it to WINGS.
Build one or more backpacks using our School Supply list and deliver it to WINGS before August 23rd. Check out our School Supply List to get a printable list. When you are ready to deliver your backpack, phone WINGS at 780-426-4985 to arrange a drop-off time.
3) Help Spread Awareness!
Tell your friends, or share about the campaign on social media to help us ensure we have enough school supplies for the school year!
2) Donate Online so that WINGS can purchase school supplies for families.
Don’t have time to build a back pack, but still want to support the children at WINGS? Make a financial donation to WINGS’ Build a Backpack program- and your donation will go towards purchasing school supplies for the families at WINGS.
Make a Financial Donation
$20 provides 1 Art Pack, which includes markers, pencil crayons, paints, sketch book, etc.
$30 provides 1 Math Pack, which includes geometry set, scientific calculator, graphing paper, etc.
$40 provides 1 fully stocked Pencil Box, which includes pens, pencils, erasers, scissors, ruler, glue sticks, sharpeners, and more!
$70 provides 1 Backpack filled with school supplies from our School Supply List (+backpack)
$350 provides 5 Backpacks filled with school supplies from our School Supply List (+backpack)
