Pat Garrett

Pat Garrett retired from her position as Executive Director of WINGS in 2020 after thirty-three years with the organization. During those years she had the opportunity to work with committed Board Members, community supporters and dedicated staff to see the organization grow to twenty-2ND Stage apartments with wrap around supports and twenty nine affordable housing units thru two capital campaigns.

Pat’s years of service in family violence support and prevention allowed her to become an active community partner having served four terms as a Board member of the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters, a member of the Mac Ewan University Social Work Advisory Committee for five years as well as numerous community partnerships. In 2014 she received the Distinguished Alumni Award, a nominee for the YWCA Women of Distinction and accepted an Excellence in Building Design Award presented by ROOPH on behalf of WINGS.

Pat has been committed to the cause of family violence intervention and prevention and the life changing support provided by WINGS.
