Parm has been a fierce advocate for children and families dating back to her university days. She has a bachelor of social work and law degree. She has represented children and youth in the justice system prior to moving to her career in prosecutions where she has worked in the family protection unit. She continues to advocate for children, youth and families. Parm firmly believes the cyclical nature of intimate partner violence creates grave consequences for all family members involved. Parm is honoured to serve on the board of Wings to continue to support the organization in its support of victims of intimate partner violence.

Parm lives in Edmonton with her husband, three kids and two dogs and can often be found at local hockey rinks cheering for her kids at their hockey games.
