We are thrilled to welcome Capital Power as one of our Champions of Hope for March! Their commitment to supporting women and families in need is truly inspiring!
Capital Power is embarking on their second annual Donation Drive in recognition of International Women’s Day from March 3 -14th. The initiative is being led internally by their Employee Resource Group dedicated to empowering and supporting women, WE Lead.
After working with WINGS last year, they were inspired to grow their efforts across additional operational and office locations in their portfolio. They will be running donation drives in Edmonton (through WINGS), Genesee, Calgary, Goreway, and Phoenix with contributions supporting organizations local to each area that provide essential services and shelter to women in need.
WE Lead hopes to foster community giving across Capital Power and recognition of International Women’s Day through this initiative.
Capital Power is a growth-oriented power producer with approximately 10 GW of power generation at 30 facilities across North America.
Capital Power’s generosity and leadership as a Champion of Hope are making an incredible impact. The essential items collected through their donation drive help WINGS provide safety, resources, and support for women and children on their journey toward healing and independence.
